Product Overview


The low-speed high-torque permanent magnet synchronous motor is a high-efficiency drive solution designed for heavy-load, low-speed, and continuous-duty operating conditions. It is widely used in pumping units, pump stations, and various oil & gas production equipment. By adopting high-performance permanent magnet materials and optimized electromagnetic design, the motor can output high torque at low speeds, effectively replacing the traditional “high-speed motor + gearbox” transmission mode and enabling direct-drive or quasi direct-drive operation.

In pumping unit applications, the low-speed high-torque PMSM can directly drive the horsehead or walking-beam system, significantly simplifying the drivetrain, reducing wear-prone components such as gearboxes and couplings, and lowering mechanical losses and maintenance workload. Meanwhile, the motor offers excellent speed regulation performance and can be deeply integrated with a VFD control system to precisely adjust stroke rate, speed, and operating curves. This effectively improves pumping dynamics, reduces impact loads, and extends the service life of downhole pumps and surface equipment.

In pump stations and other fluid transportation systems, this motor family maintains high efficiency under low-frequency and high-torque conditions. With low starting current and smooth operation, it is particularly suitable for heavy-load start-up and frequent speed adjustment scenarios. Compared with conventional induction motor solutions, PMSMs offer clear advantages including higher power factor, higher efficiency, and lower temperature rise, effectively reducing system energy consumption and operating costs.
